Sweet Swag for Scientists: SweetE Gifts x Fondren Forensics
This July brought an exciting opportunity for SweetE Gifts thanks to our treats recently appearing in a segment on NBC5’s Texas Today! After seeing the feature, a local Dallas company, Fondren Forensics, reached out with a fun, custom order for a big conference they were hosting for chemists from all over. They needed some unique, fun swag items, and guess who was ready to deliver?
Cool Candy, But Make it Custom
After chatting about what would make the best impression, we landed on our SweetE custom favor-sized boxes. They’re small but substantial, measuring a cute 3” x 3” and holding up to 30 pieces of delicious candy—perfect for this occasion. And since Fondren Forensics wanted these favors to showcase their brand, I ordered transparent labels featuring their logo to go on the acrylic lids
Finding Purple Perfection
But the fun didn't stop there! The candy needed to be mostly purple (the company’s signature color) with some pops of white and gold. Now, let me tell you, purple candy is one of the tougher colors to source, especially in gummies! But I’m always up for a challenge, so I scoured everywhere, even digging through mixed-color options like SweetTarts Gummies and Haribo Clouds to find the perfect purple pieces.
Unique Candy Not Found in Stores
Each box was filled with an assortment of candies—up to 30 pieces in total. The bottom row featured alternating white and purple gummy bears. Fun fact: the white gummy bears are strawberry-banana flavored and seriously so good! The top row included larger, fun shapes like stars, flowers, chewy sour balls, blackberries, and more. As always, I aim to include not just tasty treats but unique candies that you won’t typically find in stores.
The final result? A set of playful purple branded boxes filled with candy that looked and tasted amazing. Fondren Forensics loved them, and they made the perfect conference swag—fun, memorable, and totally sweet!
