We always strive to expose our son to new and diverse experiences. For children with disabilities like autism, this can be challenging and requires a supportive environment and dedicated people to ensure success. From therapy to after-school activities, sports, and summer camp, the autism community is incredibly fortunate to have organizations like Aceing Autism, Ascendigo, H.E.R.O.E.S. and My Martial Arts.
SweetE Gifts is proud to donate 25% of profits generated by the sales of our Support Products, to the following programs:
SweetE Spotlight - H.E.R.O.E.S.
Wyatt's spent two summers at H.E.R.O.E.S. camp now, so when the chance came to support them a different way, we didn't think twice.
H.E.R.O.E.S. serves 500-600 families across the Dallas metroplex, supporting people with different abilities from age three through adulthood — and never turning anyone away based on medical needs, behavioral challenges, financial status, or age.
This year, SweetE Gifts donated a full custom candy bar for H.E.R.O.E.S.'s annual Gala. With over 450 guests in attendance, it was a hit — one attendee called it the highlight of the night. H.E.R.O.E.S. told us afterward:
"All of the goodies were enjoyed by over 450 people and they all loved it! H.E.R.O.E.S. is so thankful for your generous donation and can't wait for our next event together!"
SweetE Spotlight - Ascendigo
Ascendigo Autism Services runs summer adventure camps outside of Aspen, Colorado, with counselors specially trained to work across the full spectrum of abilities and behaviors. Kids and young adults get the kind of experiences most sleep-away camps offer — wakeboarding, horseback riding, rock climbing, canoeing — with the safety net families need.
"We are so grateful to Ascendigo for providing children and young adults with special needs the opportunity to go to camp, experience new things, overcome fears and have a blast."
Our family has been fortunate to see the impact firsthand, and it's a program we're proud to keep supporting.
