I had the pleasure of curating the perfect wedding guest welcome bags for my sister-in-law's special day at the enchanting Inns Of Aurora in upstate New York. Given my passion for decorating and planning for parties and events, this task was right up my alley.
When my sister-in-law approached me about this project, I knew I had to make it memorable. I wanted each guest to feel welcomed and appreciated from the moment they arrived. And, of course, including a customized SweetE favor was non-negotiable - after all, what better way to sweeten the weekend for everyone?
Gift Bag Theme: Sharing Their Love Story
If you know me, you know I love a theme! Taking inspiration from the bride, Christina, and the groom, Chase, I carefully selected items that reflected their personalities and love story. The first must-have item on the list was a box of the most delectable apple cider donuts from Delicious Orchards in NJ, a nod to Christina's cherished childhood memories. To complement this sweet treat, I designed a personalized SweetE Favor box that harmonized with the wedding's color scheme, complete with a heartfelt "Love is SweetE" label.
Recognizing Chase's passion for golf, I included custom golf balls and refreshing Arnold Palmers in the welcome bags. These thoughtful additions added a personal touch and showcased the couple's interests. Additionally, a couple of bags of gourmet popcorn, reusable cups, and a bag filled with reception and morning-after essentials ensured that guests were well-equipped for the festivities ahead.
To tie everything together beautifully, I opted for Jute gift bags adorned with satin bows and welcome tags featuring elements from the elegant wedding invitation. The result was a collection of welcome bags that not only reflected the couple's story but also set the tone for a weekend filled with love, joy, and unforgettable memories.
